Failing

I am not doing a very good job keeping this blog updated. Well, I suppose it's due to lack of time. (You try to squeeze in eight classes, six student organizations, a 20-hour a week job, and teach Sunday School in a city that's an hour away!) Well anyway, the whole Hurricane Katrina shambles has almost blown itself out. What a waste of life, and what a grand example of incompetence at all levels of government. The whole thing was a giant travesty.

Should any survivors or Louisiana/Mississippi residents read this, please know: I pray for you all daily. My heart goes out to you all, and to your families.

All of that aside, I returned this week from a short trip (3 days) to Seattle...ahh. To be again in one of my favorite (liberal) states...to sit in a restaurant and not breathe in someone else's smoke...this must be what heaven is like. I miss it already. As to the purpose of my trip, the love of my life has returned from fighting an emperor's war in Iraq...I can now sleep at night.

My classes are going well; I recieved an award yesterday afternoon at the Honor's Convocation. There really is not much interesting going on in my life right now, other than that I am extremely busy.
