On a different note...

On a completely different note, my Ladies' Bible study group also quilts, before our classes, and I have taken up the hobby as well. My first project is a quilt for my grandmother, as a Christmas present. It's coming along beautifully, so far; I have completed four of my patchwork squares for it. I am doing all of the sewing by hand, so it's slow going, but well worth the effort.

Continued....

I thought I would add onto my post from last night. This topic is something that has been bugging me for quite a while now; I feel that it is important for all people to realize that women, however "liberated", are still regarded as second class in our country. This concept is something that I tend to get quite passionate over, and I am sure my family, at least, are tired of hearing about it. So, I will focus all of my passion into my research, instead of at the dinner table. So far, I am thinking of incorporating Larry Summers' speech that he gave at Harvard earlier this year. I also intend to argue that women, per hour, make less than men at the same job with the same level of experience and education. It's not fair. Women are not equal in this country. So far I have found 4 articles out of the text, as well, that support my claim. Any other advice is welcome!!

Second Class Citizens....

So I thought for my first post, I would share my idea for my researched argument...I've decided that my topic will be women as second class citizens in America. Any ideas on research for and against this? Let me know!!!
